New friendships in Hungary

Hungary has thrown me a lot of surprises. Some good, some bad. However, these three girls in this picture have become such an unexpected blessing in my life.

I have laughed so much with them. Cried with them. Learned from them. Been challenged by them. Had hard conversations with them. Have gotten lost in Croatia with them. Carried strange items of the public transportation with them. We all come from different places with different experiences but have been united with a common heart to share the love of Jesus Christ to the students in Hungary.

Caitlin is on the bottom right. We went to the same university but it wasn't until coming to Hungary that we have become close. This is her second year on STINT. It has been wonderful to get to know her more. She is a really fun and easy person to be around. I really appreciate how she has challenged me to grow in my relationship with God and in my understanding of His desire for me to share the Good News with everyone.

Mandi is the one in the middle. She has lived in Hungary for the past 6 years. Mandi is one of my two roommates. She has been so helpful to me as I have been adjusting to the culture. One thing that I love about her is her optimism and diligence. She is unstoppable and is super-encouraging. She brings a beautiful light into our apartment. I can't wait to see what amazing plan God has for her in her future.

Brittni is the one of the top right and my other roommate. She is from Texas and won't let you forget it. She is a lot of fun to be around and I often laugh uncontrollably when she is around. But she is much more then just fun. Just sit down with her and you will learn so much more about her. She is real with people. She freely talks about her struggles. I think she has the most beautiful heart and devotion for God, for her friends, for the people of Hungary.

Well, that is just a small introduction in to my life right now. :D

  1. I am glad to see that you have found a solid group of ladies to keep your heart in the clouds and your mind down to earth. I believe what your doing in Hungary is very selfless and devout. Even know we only knew each other for a short time, I did enjoy getting to know you. Walking around the campus just talking about anything and everything and most of all our little wrestling match! That was a blast! Keep it up and I wish you the best of luck in your goals. God Bless You.
